FWA First Tuesday on Third Thursday: MO Club Art Show Preview for FWA members with guest speaker, ink, graphite and large-scale charcoal drawing artist, Rachel Brownlee.
As a young woman, Rachel Brownlee enhanced her self-taught naturalistic style, bringing to life an intense and genuine portrayal of the American West. While some of her art takes form in inks and graphite, most of her work comprises large-format charcoal drawings. Her work provides intimate glimpses into the thrills and excitement of the living West and the challenges and hardships experienced by its people and animals. Today, Rachel lives with her family on a cattle ranch in western Nebraska, allowing her daily ranch life to become seamlessly interwoven with her artistic practice.

Brownlee has exhibited nationwide and received numerous prestigious awards including Best of Show at the Mountain Oyster Club and Cowgirl Up! as well as the Patron's Award at the 40th Anniversary Exhibition of the Museum of Western Art. She is the 2024 Mountain Oyster Club Honorary Artist Member Inductee.
