Artist Spotlight: Darcie Peet
Darcie grew up in the Midwest with a passion for the outdoors – often drawing and painting her outdoor adventures throughout primary and secondary school. With a BA in Art and a MA in Interior Design, Darcie has taught art and pursued a multi-faceted career in graphic design, advertising and interior design. Her passion throughout has always been her painting and a love for the outdoors.
Peet’s paintings have been juried into Oil Painters of American and numerous national regional shows including Salon International, The C.M. Russell Museum Show, Cowgirl Up Show, Arts for the Parks, Settler’s West Miniature and Great American West Shows and Rocky Mountain Plen Air Painters National Exhibit. Her paintings have also been acquired for many permanent collections including the Pearce Museum in Corsican, TX, the Arrabelle Hotel and Vail Valley Medical Center, Vail CO. She has been honored with numerous awards in many shows that included Best of Show First Place, Artists Choice and Collector’s Choice awards.
